The Write Cup Coffee Shop is located in the heart of historical downtown Johnstown. It’s conveniently located across from the Central Park gazebo, which is a hub for musical entertainment and activities throughout the year, such as the Johnstown Farmer’s Market and First Fridays.
The coffee shop offers a nice selection of pastries from local bakers and quick lunches for those who work downtown. Denim Coffee is the exclusive coffee roaster of The Write Cup and is the foundation of the shop’s numerous espresso coffee drinks or traditional drip coffee. The warm, casual atmosphere is perfect for doing work on your laptop or meeting up with friends. Its unique industrial look includes vintage typewriters, and “wordsy” art pieces, guaranteed to start a conversation.
A fun fact about the shop is that a majority of their baristas are English and Literature majors, so be sure to ask them who their favorite writers and poets are, and their favorite books!
