A Biological Argument for Electing More Women to Public Office
October 3 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
FreeWomen have been treated as second-class citizens for a long time, yet are intellectually every bit as capable as men — arguably more capable socially. The fact that men are larger, more muscular and more aggressive is a carry-over from the Stone Age when such traits were needed for most work. Machines do most of the work now and biologists suggest that men and women will evolve to become less different physically in the future. Women are under-represented in public office even though they may be more suited to lead in the world of today in which aggressive risk-taking is demonstrably dangerous.
