When you’re hiking or biking along the Ghost Town Trail, sometimes it’s nice to stop and take a breather. A great place to rest is the Dillweed Trailside Shop, just a few steps off the trail in Dilltown, PA! Dillweed Bed and Breakfast is a turn-of-the-century home built by the Dill family, early settlers of Dilltown, and currently operates as a bed and breakfast, while also offering seasonal events, and the aforementioned trailside shop during the summer months.

The feel-good charm of the shop resonates with you the second that you walk onto the front porch, adorned with seasonal decor and other items for sale. Once you step inside the shop, you are immediately transported into what can only be described as a “comfy” atmosphere, almost like being back at home.

The shop offers two floors of unique giftware/seasonal items, gourmet food items, snacks, gift baskets, and so much more. It’s a great place to grab a quick bite and a drink to recharge. They also have a cooler stocked with ice cream for those hot summer days on the trail. You can also buy a variety of Ghost Town Trail merchandise like t-shirts, hats, mugs, and more!

Along with these boons, the shop, and BNB are also celebrating 30 years of business in 2023! Corey Gilmore, one of the owners, mentioned that they are “excited to begin another busy trail season as we celebrate 30 years in business serving the Ghost Town Trail and surrounding communities!” He also encourages anyone who hasn’t been to the shop to “Stop in and see us!” Dillweed will be hosting its annual Pick-A-Dilly Herb Faire on June 10, 2023, which is a perfect opportunity for you to visit this hidden gem!
